RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research interests focus on the design and assessment of learning experiences that strengthen the very skills that set us apart from the machine: learner agency, creativity, innovation, self-regulation, empathy, meta-cognition, emotional intelligence, collaboration, problem solving, cultural literacy, systems thinking, etc. As more and more of our daily work, school, and social life is mediated through technology, it is imperative that the design of learning fosters these important skills.
