Authentic

A truly learner-centered design includes three aspects: authentic curriculum, authentic pedagogy, and authentic assessment. All three elements have to be reDesigned in order to bring about a truly differentiated and learner-centered paradigm.

Authentic curriculum

reDesignED supports institutions in developing a more authentic curriculum by leveraging the increasingly distributed knowledge production system enabled by technology to reflect multiple sources and perspectives.
Authentic pedagogy

reDesignED supports institutions in adopting an authentic pedagogy that empowers learners to become active agents in the learning process. Setting learner-relevant goals powered by the creative use of learning technologies fulfill the promise of a truly differentiated and learner-centered pedagogy.
Authentic assessment

reDesignED supports institutions in evolving their assessment practices to integrate authentic assessments. Authentic assessments are not only a core element of the reDesign; authentic assessments are key to achieving disciplinary standards while simultaneously fostering higher-order skills.
